1913 : The company was created on 1913 by Nicholas Emm. Kazis in Athens, 11 Likourgou St. covering an activity on pumps, diesel engines, electric motors, industrial equipment and the exclusive agency of the American wind mills AIRMOTOR.

1930 : The company continues its activity under the brand name “ I. KAZAZIS SONS AND E. KAZIS ” in Athens, 29 Acharnon St. ma-naged by Emmanuel N. Kazis. The production of the first manual piston pumps under the brand name “TORRENT” started.

1935: The production of engine driven piston pumps, manual blowers and vices started and Agency agreement with the American Jonston Pump Co signed for the promotion of centrifugal pumps.

1940 : Erection of the plant in Rizoupoli Athens and the production of footvalves, cocks and centrifugal pumps.

1945 : Production of the first deep well turbine pump under the brand name “TORRENT”.

1950 : Starting of the “TORRENT PUMPS” export activity to Allepo Syria.

1955 : Trade-Fair Nicosia Cyprus. Company’s representative with the Archbishop Makarios III.

1957 : The former Prime Minister Mr. C. Karamanlis discusses with Mr. Emmanuel Kazis in the Trade-Fair of Piraeus Commercial and Industrial.

1962 : Production of TORRENT submersible pumps under the new company’s name EMM. N. KAZIS Athens 27 Acharnon St.

1970 : Manufacturing in Greece of the American submersible domestic pumps STA-RITE / KAZIS.
1975 : Modification of the company’s status to Société Antonym under the name EM- MANUEL N. KAZIS S.A. planning for the erection of the new plant at Kryoneri Attiki.

1977 : New direction of the company by Nicholas
U. Kazis. Function of the new plant of Kry- oneri equipped with modern machinery.

1978 : Production of low lift high capacity pumps.

1982 :Agreement with the French company Pompes Guinard and production of centrifugal pump under the brand name TORRENT.

1983 : The former Prime Minister Mr. A. Papandreou handling the awards of 1983 export activity of the Commercial and Industrial Athens Chamber of Commerce to Mr. Kazis.

1987 : Programming and planning of the erection of the high technology foundry at Inofita Viotia.

1988 : Commercial agreement with the German Company KSB in the field of submersible motors under the brand name TORRENT.

1989: Start up of the new foundry and production of cast iron boilers for central heating.

1992 : Start the production of manhole covers and Hydraulic Equipment.

1996 : Agreement with GRUNDFOS A/S on NK End Suction Pumps and Multistage Pumps.

2000 : Production of High Power Boilers 1,1 Mw and Central Heating Units.


2002 : -Agreement with GRUNDFOS CHINA for the supply of Sub-assembled parts for Centrifugal Pumps.

2004 : KAZIS Pumps exports in Far East (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Korea , China)
